One of
my daughters told me about your web site, which she loves,
and I was also fascinated by the beautiful experiences of
the people who write in. I have five daughters, one of whom
is in heaven now; her name is Cindy.
Cindy passed away on the 29th of July, 2000, of breast cancer
at the age of 42. We were devastated when she died only one
year after being diagnosed. We have long believed in life
after death and after- death communication, so it was not
unusual for me to hope for some communication from her after
she left us. The one I received was incredible!
I felt
compelled to write and tell you what happened on the first
anniversary of her death, July 29, 2001. On July 27th, I was
thinking about what the next day was, and I decided to light
a blue scented candle which had been hers. It had a lovely
scent, and I assumed she must have loved lighting it as it
was worn down quite a lot with a very short wick. I tried
several times to light it and it kept going out immediately.
I just couldn't get it to light as the wick was so short.
Finally I gave up and thought, "I wasn't meant to light
it."
The next day was a Sunday and I went to Mass. As I had overslept,
I was in a hurry so I did not open the drapes downstairs before
leaving the house. The living room where the candle was on
a book shelf was very dark with the drapes drawn, and there
was no light source without a lamp on. This is how it appeared
when I left the house.
All during Mass, I kept praying and asking Cindy to visit
me in some way if she could. I missed her so much, and it
was such a sorrowful day for me. After Mass, I came straight
home feeling depressed. As I opened the front door, a bright
light came from the living room. I couldn't imagine what it
was as I went through the foyer and into the living room.
There I saw that the candle was burning with a brilliant flame
that lit up the entire room!
I could hardly believe my eyes. I started crying and said,
"Thank you, Honey, for coming to visit me." When
I could stop crying, I called all my other daughters and told
them about this miracle of communication.
