Saturday,
January 17, 2004. In the early morning hours today,
I am overwhelmed to share with you what happened less
than three hours ago. Last night, Friday night (January
16, 2004), after my husband turned off my car engine
(which he had running to re-charge the battery), he
came into my home office to kiss me goodnight. He said,
smiling, "As I turned off your car, its clock read 11:11
PM."
"What
does that mean?" I asked.
And
he said, "That's the sign of God."
My
husband and I have been married 37 years and during
that time we have experienced a lot of coincidences.
We have always, rather half-heartedly, believed that
these occurrences were signs that we were meant to be
together. Tonight, however, while I didn't say so, I
did recognize the 11:11 as a curious set of numbers
that we both frequently seemed to notice, AM or PM.
Instead of reacting with a familiar, "Ooooo," I challenged
him with, "How do you know that? Where did you learn
that 11:11 was a symbol for God?"
He
answered me lightly, saying, "I don't know. It just
is." And then he went to bed.
As
I mentioned, I was in my office at that time, seated
at my computer. Immediately I went online in search
of the phrase "symbols of God," then "numbers of God,"
"numbers meaning God," etc., etc. After two and a half
hours of scouring web site after web site, I had not
found one that even alluded to 1111 or its relationship
to God.
So
I drifted off into searching for a totally unrelated
subject, "coincidences," about which I am currently
writing a book. I had temporarily forgotten about the
four "1's" and was "coincidentally" drawn to your web
site. For about an hour I read from link to link and
then turned to the meditation, "Expecting 'Coincidences'
to Happen." I was astonished to read in its third paragraph,
"seeing the numbers 1111. . .realizing it was a sign
that their angels were in touch with them." This was
a coincidence I was not expecting and it has left me
more intrigued and more in awe of the power of synchronicity
than ever before .
