My
soulmate Roger, aka "Poochie," is the most
affectionate and funny guy one can imagine. We were
both truly blessed to find one another. Poochie takes
care of me, and I take care of him.
Even though Poochie passed on in April, 2009, I am writing
in the present tense because he is still my guide or
guard-ian angel dog.
Just
to let you know, Poochie is actually a person and not
a real dog. But just like I'm "Boo-boo" to
him, Roger is "Poochie" to me. And we had
these terms of endearment for each other before the
mousepad incident about which I'm going to tell you.
About three years ago, I ordered a mousepad that I designed
called "Cool Cat" from my CafePress store
(www.cafepress.com/rainbowsmiley). I ordered the "Cool
Cat" design specifically for Poochie. Well, CafePress
sent me the "wrong" mousepad. Instead of "Cool
Cat," they sent me a mousepad featuring an illustration
of a dog with a halo, wings, and a harp -- in other
words, an angel dog! Normally, I would have been disappointed
to get this "wrong" mousepad, but I was actually
happy because the design is so fitting for Poochie.
What
makes this even more of a coincidence is that the angel
dog wasn't one of my own designs and wasn't from my
online CafePress store. Now that Poochie has gone on
to "Poochie Heaven," this mousepad seems even
more fitting for him. And I continue to feel inspired
by Poochie's loving spirit.
