I
happened to stumble across your website while searching
the internet for information related to the number 1111.
For several years now, I regularly see or have experiences
related to the number 11. When I look at the clock,
it's 11:11 or 1:11. Street addresses, license plates,
receipts, electronic time stamps, and so many more I
could list.
I've
been trying for years to rationalize this, to determine
if it's coincidence or if it's a message. I am a scientist
by nature and training. Although I've always believed
in God and consider myself a spiritual person, it's
very hard for me to accept things that are not based
in science or math. That's why this is particularly
difficult for me. I've tried to reason this out using
probability, and come up with the same answer - the
chance of this occurring with the frequency that it
does is just not probable.
For
example, over the last three weeks, I have seen the
time 11:11, or 1:11 almost daily (but maybe I'm subconsciously
conditioned to do this). I have also seen street addresses
and phone numbers, etc. with these numbers, but this
week some things have happened that are just amazing.
The
first happened the other day when I was on my lunch
break going to look at some investment property. As
I left the office and got on the freeway, I noticed
the big traffic information sign over the interstate
that gives travel time updates, and it said "11 minutes
to 610 at 11:11." I just smiled to myself. After looking
over the investment property, I left to go back to the
office. I only had a few minute left to get back, so
I was looking for a quick place to stop and get something
to eat. I had never been in this part of town before
so, as I was making my way back to the interstate, I
stopped at a neighborhood grocery store I happened to
stumble upon. As I left the parking lot of the grocery
store and pulled onto the adjacent street, I noticed
two city trash cans out by the street with the number
1111 spray painted on them in big white letters. I hesitated
in disbelief at the stop sign in front of the trash
cans. As I looked up, I noticed a street sign. I was
at the intersection of 11th Street and I was sitting
in front of 1111 11th Street. In a city the size of
Houston with millions of addresses, there's only one
property with that number. I thought to myself, What
are the chances?
All
of this happened within less than an hour while I was
on my lunch break. Like many times in the past, I wanted
to call someone and tell them what had happened. But
if someone told me that story, I would either think
they were lying or they were crazy. I did however tell
a friend the next day at lunch. What prompted me to
tell him was: when the cashier rang up my order it came
to $9.11. Not giving it any thought I gave her $20.11
and got $11.00 in change back. Getting $11 in change
struck me first, but then I realized that $9.11, the
cost of my lunch, added up to 11 (9+1+1).
As
I mulled this over last night, I still couldn't make
sense of it. What is it that I'm supposed to get from
this? I no longer believe that it's just coincidence,
but I still have no idea what the significance is. This
now brings me to this morning and why I'm writing you.
When I got into the office this morning, I had one email
message. It was from my company's email system notifying
me that I had exceeded my email account size. It was
delivered by the system at 11:00 last night and it said
that my current email folder size was 111161. To be
honest, it didn't even surprise me, but I was immediately
compelled to add up the numbers, and the result was
1+1+1+1+6+1 = 11.
That's
when I got on the internet and searched "1111 coincidence."
Your site came up so I decided to check it out. The
first thing that opened was a note pertaining to an
1111 coincidence that happened on January 17 of this
year. This coincidentally happens to be my birthday!
So with that I was compelled to send this note, thinking
maybe it would provide another piece to this interesting
puzzle.
