I believe
that God is real, that he lives in and through us if we will
only believe in our hearts and not doubt his promises.
I have
an eleven year old son who is Autistic but extremely high
functioning. When he was four years old, he could not speak.
I was told by the school system that he probably would never
speak and that they were wasting district money on speech
therapy for him. I insisted he would speak, and so they told
me they would give him six more months of speech therapy.
If he didn't improve after that time, they would drop him.
So at
night, when he was asleep, I began to place my hands on his
head and pray to God to fill him with his White Light, and
to heal him so he would speak. I knew I had to believe he
would speak, that hoping was not good enough. Belief goes
beyond hope, because hoping God will answer your prayers means
you have doubts about God's power and what it can do to change
your life. Belief means you know beyond a doubt what God can
do to change your life, and for that matter what God can do
to change the world if we would all believe in his power and
love.
Anyway
my son began to speak and, by the time he was five years old,
he changed from a severely handicapped special class to a
class in a regular school. Last year at the end of the school
year, they had him take the state testing that all the children
take. When we got the results, he tested out with a twelfth
grade vocabulary. And he was only ten!
Praise
to the God of Love who is the God who accepts all mankind
as his family. God is real and he is present. We just have
to let him touch us.
