I am due to give birth to our first child in July. One day last summer, I was walking my dog in the field. Suddenly I had the sensation that someone was watching me from the sky. I was struck with a sense that someone was choosing me, right in that moment, to be their mother. I heard in my heart, "There. Her. She's the one I want to be my mother."

I wrote it off as wishful thinking, since we had been unsuccessful in trying to conceive for a little while. But lo and behold, later last fall, we finally conceived. I now look at that experience as my first glimpse into the spirit of my unborn child. I feel so blessed to have had that experience!!
