The
other day, my four-year-old daughter asked me if, when
she comes back as a baby again, she could have the same
baby toys. I asked her what she meant, and she explained:
"When I die and come back as a baby again."
I
was flabbergasted. We are not a religious family and
never even discussed the concept of reincarnation in
our home. I asked her where she came up with the idea,
and she further explained that she just "felt it"
in her heart.
I
am open to ideas and even played with the idea of reincarnation
as a young adult, but haven't thought about it in decades.
I
truly feel my daughter has an older soul. She came out
of the womb literally wide-eyed and moving her head
to look around. She began speaking at the age of one
and spoke so well that, when we were out, strangers
would stop and comment in disbelief at how well she
spoke for her age.
She's
made me think twice about what happens after we die.
As science explains, matter and energy can't be destroyed;
they are just transformed.
